Disney’s Minnie Van service is officially returning to the streets of the Walt Disney World Resort!
Just a few days after it was announced that Disney’s official rideshare service was resuming operations, this reporter spotted several of the polka-dotted SUVs back on the streets, especially moving around Disney’s Resort Hotels.
These pictures, for example, were taken on the morning of Sunday, June 12, on Buena Vista Drive in the vicinity of Disney’s BoardWalk Inn and other EPCOT Resort Area Hotels.

Just on June 7, we shared the news that Minnie Vans will be resuming operations for the first time since the pandemic and that sporadic testing around the Mega-Resort was to begin this week. These pictures offer confirmation of one of many Minnie Van sightings this reporter experienced over the weekend, proving that progress is, indeed, being made. Minnie Vans will officially return on June 29 but will reportedly not be resuming its services to and from Orlando International Airport (MCO) just yet. Click the link below for our full coverage.
Rideshare companies Uber and Lyft have still been able to operate on Disney World property, allowing Guests an arguably more time-efficient, flexible, and private option for families looking to move around the Theme Parks, Resort Hotels, and Disney Springs than Disney World’s public transportation systems like the Bus, Disney Skyliner, Monorail, and Ferry Boats. But, the Minnie Vans–which are operated in a special partnership with Lyft–offer that extra level of quality as the “Disney Official” method, and the overall themeing helps maintain a level of Disney immersion.
According to the Disney World Website:
Need a ride to a restaurant at another Disney Resort hotel? How about a relaxing way to get back to your room after a busy day at one of the Walt Disney World theme parks or the Disney Springs area? Minnie Van service is a great way to get around Walt Disney World Resort quickly and in comfort—all while in a Disney-owned, Disney-operated vehicle, driven by a Cast Member.
