Disney World Announces Return Date of Minnie Vans!

On June 7, 2022, Disney Parks announced the official return date of its beloved on-property ride-sharing service, the Minnie Vans!

planDisney and Disney Parks Blog state,

“This private car service will roll back in onĀ June 29, 2022, and guests can enjoy being driven around property by expert, specially trained Cast Members… Minnie Van Service is one of the most convenient and personalized transportation options to choose from ā€“ with quick, point-to-point drop-offs and pick-ups around Walt Disney World, at prices that vary by route. Itā€™s easy: Book by just opening your Lyft App and selecting a Minnie Van vehicle to pick you up! Guests can also use the app to request an Accessible Minnie Van, as needed, and each Minnie Van comes equipped with two complimentary car seats for your littlest travelers.”

We at Disney Fanatic first suspected the return and reported Disney’s first announcement on the Minnie Vans return back in March of this year. But, while the return was confirmed for this summer, no official date had been announced. Now, we know that the iconic polka-dotted SUVs and vans will return to Disney World street before the end of this month and just in time for 4th of July Weekend!

The Walt Disney World Resort founded the Minnie Vans when ridesharing first became popular, and Cast Members began to realize that Guests would pay to have Disney-World-Offical private transportation to and from their Disney Resort Hotel or Disney Theme Park, Disney Springs, and all other points on the property. Disney’s Minnie Vans also offered private transportation to and from Orlando International Airport.

However, according to Theme Park Insider, Scott Gustin, airport service will not be offered upon return, and random test rides are expected to begin this week. Over 75 drivers are expected to return to the program after the multi-year hiatus.

All would be Guests looking to utilize this option should be reminded that Minnie Vans are operated exclusively through Lyft.
