There’s a certain routine most EPCOT guests know all too well.
As the evening gets closer to fireworks, everything starts to shift. Guests slowly make their way around World Showcase Lagoon, scanning for the perfect spot. Some people claim space early. Others circle endlessly, hoping something opens up.

It’s part of the experience—but it can also take up a big chunk of your night.
Now, there’s a new option that completely flips that routine on its head.
A select group of guests can now skip all of that and walk into a reserved viewing area for Luminous: The Symphony of Us just minutes before the show begins. No waiting. No stress.
The only catch? You need to be part of Air Canada’s Aeroplan program.
A Much Easier Way to Watch Luminous
If you’re an Aeroplan member, you can redeem 1,000 points for access to a private fireworks viewing location at EPCOT.
The viewing area is located at the China Overlook, which already offers one of the better angles around World Showcase. But what really makes this different is the limited capacity.

Instead of being surrounded by hundreds of people, the space is capped at a small group. That alone changes the feel of the entire experience.
You don’t have to show up early. You don’t have to hold your ground. You just check in shortly before the show and enjoy it.
Why This Matters More Than It Seems
At first, this might sound like just another small perk tied to a travel program. But it actually changes how you plan your entire evening.
Fireworks at EPCOT usually require some level of strategy. You either give up time earlier in the night or risk ending up with a less-than-ideal view.
This removes that decision completely.
You can spend your evening riding attractions, trying food booths, or exploring the park without worrying about losing your spot.
That’s a big shift—and one that a lot of guests would probably jump at if it were more widely available.
Not Quite a Full VIP Experience
There are still a few things to keep in mind.
This doesn’t include park admission, so you’ll still need a valid EPCOT ticket and any required reservation. You also have to book in advance, and once you pick your date, it’s locked in.

The viewing area is standing-room only, and like any fireworks show, there’s always a chance it could be canceled due to weather.
Even with those limits, though, the value is clear—especially for frequent travelers who already have Aeroplan points.
A Sign of What’s Coming Next?
This feels like more than just a one-off perk.
Disney has been experimenting with ways to offer different levels of access inside the parks, and this fits right into that pattern.
It doesn’t replace the traditional fireworks experience. But it adds a new version of it—one that’s quieter, easier, and a lot more predictable.
And if guests respond well to it, it’s easy to imagine similar offerings expanding in the future.
