Disney World is a top destination for holiday celebrations, and it’s easy to see why. From festive décor to exclusive entertainment, the parks go above and beyond to create a magical experience. One of the highlights of the season is Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade, which you might know as a mainstay of Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. However, there’s good news for those without party tickets—you can still see this holiday parade during regular park hours on select dates!

The parade is usually part of the special after-hours event, which runs on select nights from November 8th to December 20th, 2024. Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party offers limited crowds, complimentary treats, and exclusive shows, making it a favorite for many guests. The parade is one of the standout features, showcasing festive floats, beloved Disney characters in holiday attire, and Santa Claus himself.

For those who aren’t attending the party, you can still enjoy the Christmastime Parade from December 21st through December 31st, 2024. It will run during the day at 12:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m., giving daytime guests the chance to join in the holiday fun. This is especially convenient for families with young children who might not stay up late for the party.

If you’re visiting on December 21st, you’ll notice something unique—both Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade and the Festival of Fantasy Parade are scheduled, just an hour apart. While it might be a scheduling anomaly, it offers a rare chance to enjoy two fantastic parades in one day. Just remember to check the Disney World website or app for any updates, as times are subject to change.

Christmas at Disney World isn’t just about parades, though. Magic Kingdom transforms into a holiday paradise with stunning decorations, a massive Christmas tree on Main Street, U.S.A., and special seasonal snacks and drinks. Other parks bring their own festive touches too. EPCOT’s International Festival of the Holidays features cultural traditions from around the world, Hollywood Studios adds snowfall and projections to its nightly shows, and Animal Kingdom offers handcrafted decorations and holiday-themed river cruises.

For those considering Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, the event also includes lower wait times for attractions, a fireworks show, and special meet-and-greets with characters. However, if you’re simply visiting during the day, catching the parade is an excellent way to enjoy the holiday magic without the extra expense.
