‘Snow White' Goes Digital

For fans who prefer physical copies, the Snow White live-action remake will be available on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD starting June 24. Along with the digital and physical releases, Disney promises an array of bonus content for fans to enjoy, including bloopers, deleted scenes, featurettes, and a full-length sing-along version of the film.

The film, which arrived in theaters on March 21, initially saw a $42.2 million opening weekend. Despite the anticipation, the movie's box office performance has been underwhelming, grossing $200.5 million globally. This marks a disappointing outcome for Disney's latest live-action reimagining of one of its classic animated films, especially considering its $270 million production budget.

Disney's live-action ‘Snow White' starring Rachel Zegler and Gal Gadot will hit digital platforms on May 13. The movie will be available on Blu-ray and DVD on June 24.

Directed by Marc Webb, Snow White faced several hurdles before and during production. The film went through reshoots, experienced delays due to labor strikes, and even had a fire break out on set. Additionally, the pre-release period saw headlines stirred by Rachel Zegler's candid remarks about the film, which drew both attention and controversy. All these factors combined to contribute to the film’s lackluster performance at the box office, especially in comparison to previous Disney live-action hits.

A Rough Road Altogether

Despite the rocky road to release, Disney's Snow White continues to find its place in the post-theatrical world with a new digital and physical release. Fans can look forward to exploring extra content and revisiting the story in a new format. With an intriguing mix of challenges and triumphs, Snow White is set to continue its journey in the home entertainment market.

This digital release will also expose the films to more audiences, meaning more praise or criticism is likely heading towards Snow White.

  1. This is stupid lol fingers crossed they don’t make another 100 million and stay in the negative. Genuinely one of the worst movies and worst actresses in history.

  2. Disney can release this flop as many times as they want and still get the same results. Each and every time!

  3. Never will I watch anything with Rachel Zegler. She could have maybe made a good movie, well, OK movie (Some parts were so stupid what Disney did with it) but, to want to make her own ‘modern’ version showed how great she thinks she is.Keep Snow White always the way Walt Disney made it. People in the movie industry, why can’t you just make your own new movies instead of remaking a classic?
