A great, yellow-shoed step back to pre-pandemic normalcy will be taken tomorrow as the changes to Disney Parks’ Park Hopper restrictions finally take effect.

Disneyland Park Hopping

Last month, Disney Fanatic reported that the Disneyland Resort would be lifting its Park Hopper restrictions and start allowing Guests to move to and from Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure as early as 11 am. While a restriction still remains intact, the extended Park Hopper hours reopen a significant amount of the Disney Park Hopper Option’s value that was lost due to the prohibition of any change before 2 pm.

Disney Parks Blog stated,

“Beginning February 4, 2023, guests who enter a Disneyland Resort theme park with a Magic Key pass or a Park Hopper ticket may begin crossing over between the parks two hours earlier – starting at 11 a.m. PT!* This means even more magic and more fun for your day as you enjoy the best of what both Disneyland park and Disney California Adventure park have to offer.”

This announcement was also paired with the decision to make all ride photos at Disneyland and Disney California Adventure Park free to download for all Guests in honor of the Disney100 Celebration. Click the link below to read more of our coverage of that story.

Meanwhile, other changes are expected to take effect at the Walt Disney World Resort, beginning with allowing Annual Passholders to visit the Parks after 2 pm without needing to make a Theme Park Reservation, with the only exception being for visits to Magic Kingdom on Saturdays and Sundays. Unfortunately, there is still no official start time listed for this change.

Disneyland Resort Guests should be advised that this Park Hopper change applies to those with an Annual Pass and a Theme Park Ticket. And every Guest will still need to make a Theme Park Reservation and visit that Theme Park first before they are able to Park Hop early.
