Brand-New Stage Show Coming to Disney!

For 14 years, Guests visiting Disneyland Resort had the opportunity to see Disney’s Aladdin: A Musical Spectacular at the Hyperion Theater in Disney California Adventure Park. The show was a hit, as people loved seeing the animated film brought to life in a fun new way (plus, the Genie and his jokes were hilarious). Sadly, the show closed in 2016 and was replaced by Frozen, which was still popular. However, the theater was forced to bring down the curtain when the Parks closed due to COVID in March 2020.

Disneyland and Disney California Adventure reopened in April 2021, after more than a year. The Hyperion has remained closed since then, with many wondering what will happen to the building. During the almost two years the Hyperion remained closed, Disney tore down Bug’s Land and opened Avengers Campus, right next to the theater.

Now, it has been revealed that a Marvel-themed play will be coming to the Hyperion.

If you have watched the hit Disney+ show Hawkeye, then you may remember that Clint took his two kids to New York City to see Rogers: The Musical. That scene garnered a lot of attention, so Disney has decided to bring it to life! Disney shared the exciting news on Twitter:

At this time, we don’t have any more details on the show or when it will premiere at Disney California Adventure. However, we do know that the show will only run for a limited-time this summer. Originally, it was speculated that a Hercules show might be coming to the Hyperion, due to the information available on a Casting Call posted by Disney.
