New Dining Location Opens NEXT WEEK at Disney Springs!

Move over Dole Whip! There’s a new sweet treat headed to Walt Disney World Resort.

It’s no secret that the shopping, dining, and entertainment district, Disney Springs, is well known for its impressive list of delicious bites and beverages.

If you’re craving a cookie, Gideon’s Bakehouse is the place to be. If you’re a die-hard chocolate lover, stop by The Ganachery. If a donut is what you’re after, check out Everglazed Donuts & Cold Brew. Need a cupcake? Don’t skip the Sprinkles ATM. And if you want a pastry that looks like a piece of art, Amorette’s Patisserie has you covered.

And while Disney Springs has added the fan-favorite Disney Park Dole Whip to its venue with the new Swirls on the Water, we’re still missing some drool-worthy ICE CREAM!

We previously shared the big news that Disney Springs is welcoming Salt & Straw to its new West Side location. Now, we’ve learned that according to ClickOrlando, this delicious scoop shop will be opening at Disney Springs next week on Wednesday, April 20, 2022.

Salt & Straw is a Portland-based family-run ice cream company that is known for its “innovative, taste-provoking flavors that take fans on a never-ending flavor adventure.” Their mission – “Using ice cream as a platform, we pioneer and share experiences that inspire and connect us all.”

This isn’t Salt & Straw’s first time working with Disney. In 2018, the heavenly ice cream shop open a location Downtown Disney District at Disneyland Resort in California. Of course, east coast Disney fans wanted in on the tastiness!

The ice cream company makes ice cream that’s about more than ice cream. “We make ice cream about the ingredients we use and the farms and artisans they come from. About how we cook and freeze and candy and sort and burn and smash and hand-drizzle and ribbon and spoon and sprinkle all of our ingredients in intriguing and unexpected ways.”

On any given day, Salt & Straw will be scooping at least 36 flavors for Guests to enjoy! Curious what these flavors might be? While there is a list of ice cream flavors such as Cinnamon Snickerdoodle, Sea Salt with Caramel Ribbons, and Freckled Mint Chocolate Chip, don’t be surprised to find intriguingly unique choices such as Pear & Blue Cheese, Honey Lavender, and Olive Oil.

The construction walls are down as the new shop prepares to welcome Disney travelers. Simply head to the West Side of Disney Springs near AMC Theaters to spot the dining location. If you’re among the first 100 customers on opening day, April 20, Salt & Straws will give you a free scoop of ice cream.
