With four theme parks, two water parks, and Disney Springs, transportation is the most crucial component of a Disney vacation at the Walt Disney World Resort. The good news? Select Disney Resorts are granted direct transportation to this summer’s operating Water Park.

Alone, the water parks are much more affordable than Disney’s Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Animal Kingdom, and Hollywood Studios Parks at around $73.49 per adult and $67.10 per child. Since their reopening after COVID-19, the two Water Parks have had alternate operations, and Typhoon Lagoon is the hub for this summer’s water activities.

Typically, Walt Disney World Guests planning a day trip or Park-Hopper Plus transfer to Typhoon Lagoon had to navigate to Disney Springs before hopping on another bus to the Water Park. As of July 2, things are getting a bit easier for select Disney Guests.

No Longer a Last Resort

Staying at an onsite Disney Resort comes with invaluable benefits, especially pertaining to Park access. And according to Gotta Go Orlando, the following Disney Resorts just got a bit perkier:

  • Disney’s All-Star Music Resort
  • Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort
  • Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort
  • Disney’s Art of Animation Resort
  • Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort
  • Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort
  • Disney’s Pop Century Resort

A mixture of Disney’s Value Resorts and Moderate Resorts, these accommodations will allow Guests to plan a visit to Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon conveniently. Featuring seven water slide rides, one kiddie slide, one child play area, a surf pool, a lazy river, a wave pool, and a small explorable trail, Typhoon Lagoon has been regarded by Guests as the favorite Disney Water Park.

While Blizzard Beach fans take up for the Frozen-featuring Park in the never-ending debate, it remains closed until the two Parks trade off again. In the meantime, the new direct bus transportation will run for these Disney Resort Guests until early September.

Walt Disney World Guests staying at other Resorts will still need to travel through the Disney Springs bus transfer to Typhoon Lagoon.
