Disney’s Mainland China Resort has suffered multiple closures just in the latter half of 2022 due to the Chinese Communist Party’s “Covid Zero” policy which is still currently keeping many of its citizens under draconian and arguably dystopian levels of lockdowns. Disney Fanatic recently reported that Shanghai Disneyland shuttered around Halloween for several weeks because somebody who had visited the Park recently tested positive for covid-19. After reopening in mid-November, the Park was ordered to close again.

Because of Xi Jinping and the CCP’s continued totalitarian response to the lingering endurance of covid-19, it is unclear how long Guests and Cast Members will be able to enjoy an open Disneyland Park before it is ordered to close once again.
