When a lot of people think about what theme parks they would love to visit, Disney theme parks and Resorts are typically at the top of the list. Especially if that vacation is in the United States. Whether you are heading to Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California, or Walt Disney World Resort in Florida, you are guaranteed to have a magical time (but it may be really hot). Even though Disney is such a great place to take a family vacation, it is apparently not a top theme park pick for a lot of Americans.

According to a new poll by USA Today, neither Disneyland nor Walt Disney World are fan-favorite theme parks. In fact, they don’t even crack the top ten on the list of best theme parks. According to readers, that honor goes to Silver Dollar City in Branson, Missouri.
Here’s what USA Today had to say about the beloved theme park.
Silver Dollar City, with its 1880s mining town theme, attracts some two million visitors annually with its combination of entertainment, festivals, 100 resident craftsmen and more than 40 rides and attractions. The park is also home to Time Traveler, the world’s fastest, steepest and tallest spinning coaster.

Head on over to the Silver Dollar City theme park website, and you can learn a lot more about this unique spot.
Silver Dollar City is a special place in the heartland of America where your family can gather together in fun, where traditions are created, memories are shared and where time stops to celebrate each other. Our 1880s theme park will turn an ordinary day into a best-ever day with fun that awaits you from a spring-time getaway to a Christmas celebration. What are you waiting for? Come explore new adventures. Experience record-breaking thrills. Discover a world of surprises. And create memories you will remember forever.

Even though there are four theme parks located within Walt Disney World Resort and two located at Disneyland Resort, none of them were named fan favorites. Here is the complete top ten list:
- Silver Dollar City — Branson, Missouri
- Kings Island — Mason, Ohio
- SeaWorld Orlando — Orlando, Florida
- Cedar Point — Sandusky, Ohio
- Knoebels — Elysburg, Pennsylvania
- Hersheypark — Hershey, Pennsylvania
- Busch Gardens Williamsburg — Williamsburg, Virginia
- Busch Gardens Tampa Bay — Tampa, Florida
- Kennywood — West Mifflin, Pennsylvania
- Dollywood — Pigeon Forge, Tennessee

This is not the first time that Disney has not made the list of the most-loved theme parks in the U.S. In the past, Universal Orlando and SeaWorld have made the list, while Disney has not come out in the top ten. This year, it seems that Universal also was nowhere to be found in the top. However, Guests love SeaWorld so much that they chose it as the number three theme park in the country.
