Insomniac’s Marvel’s Spider-Man series has quietly become one of the most successful superhero franchises in the gaming world. Beginning with Marvel’s Spider-Man (2018) and continuing through Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales (2020) and Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 (2023), the series has defined what a modern Spider-Man experience looks like in gaming: a fully explorable Manhattan, fast-paced traversal, a real-time web-swinging physics system, and character-driven storytelling led by Peter Parker (voiced by Yuri Lowenthal).
Now, attention has shifted to what comes next—and a brief social media slip may have provided the biggest clue yet.

Ben Jordan, who serves as the face model for Peter Parker in Insomniac’s games following the recasting in Marvel’s Spider-Man: Remastered (2020), recently posted a photo of himself in motion-capture gear with the caption “IYKYK,” accompanied by a spider emoji.
The post was quickly deleted, but not before fans and media outlets shared it widely, sparking speculation that Marvel’s Spider-Man 3 (TBA) is in development.
Of course, there are other possibilities. Insomniac is also developing Marvel’s Wolverine (2026), set for release on September 15, and Senior Creative Director Bryan Intihar has previously said that both franchises exist within the same universe, Earth-1048. As such, a crossover appearance—whether in Wolverine’s game or beyond—remains on the table.

Meanwhile, Spider-Man’s future across media is already mapped out.
On the big screen, Spider-Man: Brand New Day (2026) arrives in theaters on July 31, with Tom Holland returning as Peter Parker alongside Zendaya (MJ) and Jacob Batalon (Ned Leeds). Watch the official trailer for the upcoming film below:
Television is also expanding the mythos with Spider-Noir (2026) starring Nicolas Cage, while the animated side of the franchise on the big screen is set to continue with Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse (2027), bringing back Jake Johnson as Peter Parker.
Taken together, the web has never been bigger.
