Spider-Man and Wolverine have shared the Marvel spotlight for decades, but, surprisingly, they've never appeared together on the big screen.
While Spider-Man continues to headline theatrical releases, with the next major installment being Spider-Man: Brand New Day (2026) starring Tom Holland as the titular hero, Wolverine’s cinematic presence has been mostly limited to the X-Men series — although Hugh Jackman's Logan did lead the charge alongside Wade Wilson (Ryan Reynolds) in last year's box office hit Deadpool & Wolverine.

But while Deadpool & Wolverine takes place in the multi-movie Marvel Cinematic Universe, where Holland's Spider-Man exists — along with other versions such as Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield (via the Multiverse) — Logan and Peter Parker still have yet to team up outside of animation or comic books.
Wouldn't it be great to see the pair team up in a similar fashion to last year's dual superhero flick with an R-rating thrown in for good measure? Well, fans may soon see the pair team up on the small screen, at least. And not in an animated series, but in the world of gaming.

Bryan Intihar, Senior Creative Director at Insomniac Games, confirmed in a recent interview with Kinda Funny Games that the “Marvel’s Spider-Man” video game series and the upcoming “Marvel’s Wolverine” — which releases in 2026 — game share the same universe: Earth-1048.
This confirmation arrives just days after the premiere of the trailer for “Marvel's Wolverine”, which highlights Logan’s lethal claws, brutal combat, and lone-wolf attitude. Fans now know that, at least digitally, the two heroes exist in the same continuity.
Watch the official trailer for “Marvel's Wolverine” below:
The Insomniac revelation raises questions about future crossovers in gaming and potentially other media. Could Earth-1048 foreshadow a future cinematic collaboration, or will it remain confined to video games and animation?
For now, fans can be happy knowing that Logan and Spider-Man coexist in a shared digital world, even if Hollywood has yet to make that leap.
For now, Wolverine and Spider-Man remain separate on the big screen. The upcoming film Avengers: Doomsday (2026) boasts a huge cast, but Hugh Jackman and Tom Holland have not been confirmed — here's hoping they'll appear in cameos (together, of course).
In “Marvel's Wolverine,” Logan is voiced by Liam McIntyre, and in the previous “Spider-Man” titles, Peter Parker is voiced by Yuri Lowenthal.
