‘Star Wars’ Ride Officially Disappears From Disneyland Line-up, Guest Access Blocked

The iconic Star Wars attraction, Star Tours – The Adventure Continues, has officially disappeared from Disneyland Park’s lineup as the ride undergoes an indefinite refurbishment. As of July 2, 2025, guest access to the popular Tomorrowland attraction has been blocked, leaving many Disney Parks fans disappointed as they miss out on the thrilling adventure through the Star Wars galaxy.

Star Tours has been a key feature of Disneyland Park since its opening in 1987. The attraction was later updated into Star Tours – The Adventure Continues, incorporating characters and settings from all nine Skywalker saga films, including elements from newer Star Wars movies produced after Disney acquired Lucasfilm. Over the years, the ride has also received updates inspired by The Mandalorian and other Disney+ series in the Star Wars universe.

According to WDWNT, construction walls now block the Star Wars simulator attraction’s entrance and its exit inside The Star Trader gift shop. Signs reading, “Star Tours flights are cancelled during refurbishment. Please enjoy other Tomorrowland attractions,” have been posted to let guests know about the temporary closure.

The Disneyland Resort website does not specify an official reopening date for the ride. It reads: “Star Tours – The Adventures Continue is currently closed for refurbishment. Please check back here for updates.”

However, Disney cast members have reportedly indicated that Star Tours – The Adventure Continues will remain closed at least through September. As with other refurbishments, Disney has not provided additional details about what exactly is being worked on during the closure.

For now, guests visiting Disneyland Resort can still experience other Star Wars-themed attractions, including Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, where they can pilot the Millennium Falcon on Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run or join the Resistance in Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance.
