Last year’s ‘Disney’s Holiday Magic Quest’ in the Magic Kingdom was a hit with Disney fans, and if you were among the audience members, then you can start getting excited for the next Quest coming on December 3rd! This year, the friendly competition show is taking place in Hollywood Studios instead of the Magic Kingdom. Disney actors Milo Manheim, Meg Donnelly, Kylee Russell, and Trevor Tordjman will compete against each other in Disney challenges (which could be anything from obstacle courses to puzzles) in order to save Disney’s holiday magic from Disney villains! This light-hearted competitive event is hosted by Yvette Nicole Brown–and since the four actors taking the challenge on are already co-workers from the Disney Channel Movies ‘Zombies’ and ‘Zombies 2’, we can expect some friendly rivalry from them!
Disney Parks has released a first look at the ‘Disney Holiday Magic Quest’ on Twitter (see the Tweet below), and there’s plenty we can glean from the images they’ve shared.

Maleficent is once again the defining Disney villain in this year’s Quest, and that’s confirmed by her presence in the first image that was shared from the show. According to the Disney Parks Blog, “Disney villain Maleficent has stolen the holiday star from atop the Holiday Tree, and its pieces have been hidden throughout Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The ZOMBIES stars are tasked to find the missing pieces and reassemble the star to restore the magic to the theme Park.”
On their quest to find the holiday star’s pieces, reassemble it, and return it to the tree, the four actors will be paired into two teams. Their adventures and challenges will include “larger-than-life obstacles inside Andy’s Backyard at Toy Story Land; escaping Kylo Ren and the Stormtroopers at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, with help from Chewbacca; and surviving bellhop training inside The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror”! The teams will also have “magic maps”, which it looks like previous winners Milo Manheim and Kylee Russell are using in the image directly below.
The four players will definitely get to interact with Disney characters a lot, such as the toy soldier and Chewbacca in the images below, and it looks like their dynamic with Maleficent will only continue to intensify as they try once again to outwit her!

This show is the perfect Friday night entertainment for anyone who loves adventures or loves the Kingdom Keepers series (which is a popular Disney book series about a group of teenagers who have to defeat Disney villains (including Maleficent!) in the Disney Parks after dark). Anyone who enjoys riddles, logic puzzles, obstacle courses, or escape rooms will also definitely enjoy this show, and it’s not just for kids! You can watch it on Disney Channel when it premieres Friday December 3rd at 7 pm!
