We’re halfway to the holidays, and the Walt Disney World Resort wasted no time releasing news of big-ticket holiday items for Disney Guests to dive into.
With special events like the first-ever, limited-ticket Jollywood Nights at Hollywood Studios, the return of Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, the debut of a Frozen holiday performance in Magic Kingdom, EPCOT’s Candlelight Processional, and brand-new Disney Cruise Line excursions, there’s no time like the present to book a Disney vacation.
The Disney Resort even announced the ultimate gift for Guests to unwrap: up to 35% off discounts on select Disney hotels for the holiday season. Slashing prices for local Florida residents, Annual Passholders, Disney+ subscribers, and even the general public, Disney is gearing up for a high-capacity holiday season.
But even with lowered Resort prices, Walt Disney World vacations don’t run cheap. Throw in theme Park ticket prices, Disney Genie+, and Disney Property perks, and a Disney World vacation tab can runneth over.
While being at Disney during the holidays is undeniably special, it’s also a guaranteed time to be among the crowds. Depending on how you make your Disney trips, you might prefer a quieter time with less competitive Genie+ reservations.
Best Times to Visit Disney
Thanks to a viral video by @kelsey_plandisney on TikTok, Guests can get a load of the least expensive weeks each month to book a Disney trip for the 2024 calendar year. Her list avoids the most crowded time to head to Disney, like spring break for Florida schools.
While November and December offer Christmas themes for Guests to be dazzled by, the tail end of winter in January and February provides a whole new Park experience with its light crowds.
