6. Piloting the Liberty Belle River Boat
Many people know Magic Kingdom’s Liberty Belle to be a relaxing riverboat attraction that embarks on a slow-paced scenic excursion narrated by Mark Twain while bypassing several one-of-a-kind sites. But what many do not know is that you can add a unique spin to this seemingly mild pursuit by piloting the boat yourself. Just ask a cast member at the docks if they are offering guest piloting on that day, and if they are you will be given instructions on where to meet the captain for the next boat voyage (or possibly a later one in the day). Then when the moment comes, you will be permitted access into the elusive wheelhouse and ultimately pilot the boat yourself! But keep in mind that the boat is actually guided by an underwater track that follows a specific route designation. So you don’t have to feel the pressure that comes with safely carrying what can sometimes be up to 450 passengers on one outing. But it’s still a most unique experience to have and even comes with a souvenir Co-Pilot License keepsake for you to take home.
