These Are the Best and Worst Tips for Doing Disney World

1. Cherish the simple things

Sure you want to get the most out of your Walt Disney World experience, but don’t overexert yourself. Take time for the simple things, like appreciating the unique themes and décor around the parks and resorts. Look for hidden Mickeys, find enjoyment in the many subtleties included in various resorts and attractions, and test your trivia knowledge by recognizing those gentle nods to history and classic lore. You’ll find a sense of peace and renewed appreciation in the little things, which in the end might make a much larger, positive impact on your overall vacation experience.

Alternately: Don’t try to skip out on the hidden gems like the Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover or other attractions in pursuit of the faster must-do popular follies. You may well end up missing out on many great one-of-a-kind lesser-known experiences that are sometimes even less crowded.  Also remember that while carefully planning out your experiences is essential, and having a working itinerary makes navigating your trip much easier, do take time to relax and leave room for flexibility in your tentative game plan. You don’t want to stress everyone out in your party or keep a rigid routine that’s sure to result in meltdowns. There’s just so much to see and do at Disney World, and to fully appreciate your overall experience, you have to remember to slow down and don’t over excite yourself. Take a breather and seek out the best in everything you see and do while on your vacation, even the simplest things.
