It’s not every day that two former morning show hosts—embroiled in scandal and removed from their network—manage to turn the page so publicly. But Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes have always done things their way. From their high-profile exit from Good Morning America to launching a series of personal projects, their story continues to unfold in ways that keep fans guessing.

Back in January 2022, ABC News found itself at the center of controversy when Robach and Holmes—then co-anchors of GMA3: What You Need to Know—were photographed in what appeared to be an intimate relationship. The catch? Both were married at the time—Robach to actor Andrew Shue, and Holmes to attorney Marilee Fiebig.
The photos ignited a media firestorm, ultimately leading to their dismissal from ABC. Still, their popularity with viewers didn’t fade. Supporters rallied behind the couple, drawn to their transparency and chemistry, both on and off the air.
Just a year after being suspended, the two returned to the spotlight with their iHeartRadio podcast, Amy & T.J., where they candidly discussed the impact of their relationship on their careers and mental health.

Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes have been together for almost three years, and their fans love them as much as they did on Good Morning America. Just months into their relationship, there was a lot of speculation surrounding the couple, and rumors swirled that they were planning to get married. The couple didn’t comment on those rumors, but did say they were in it for the long haul.
Their openness has only continued. In September 2024, the pair launched a second podcast—I Do, Part 2—with Jennie Garth and Jana Kramer, focused on finding love after heartbreak.
On a recent episode, Holmes made a comment that immediately reignited speculation about their relationship status.
“If you got love right the first time around, this ainʼt the show for you. Iʼm T.J. Holmes, alongside my friend, my partner, my podcast cohost Amy Robach.”
“With my person, my partner, my spouse. Whatʼs the right way to put it? Love of my life — there it is! That you had to feed me that line is a little disturbing.”
Robach didn’t interrupt or correct him, nor did she clarify whether the two are now married. Her silence only added fuel to the rumor mill. While no official statement has been made, many fans believe the couple may have quietly tied the knot—or are at least closer than ever.

Robach did once say she didn’t want to repeat the mistakes of her past. She married Tim McIntosh at just 23 years old and later wed Melrose Place actor Andrew Shue after being engaged for just four months.
Despite the past controversies, Robach and Holmes have moved forward both personally and professionally. In addition to their two podcasts, the duo is preparing to launch a new weekly column starting June 9, which promises to dive into the “messy parts” of relationships—a subject they’re uniquely qualified to explore.
The couple has not shared any images that would indicate that they are married or engaged. However, with this potentially being a third marriage for both of them, they might keep things quiet.
