At the Walt Disney World Resort, rides are known to break down from time to time. Guests being evacuated out of attractions has seemingly become such a common occurrence that some would even question if the incidents are newsworthy.
Well, it appears that there are even some ride incidents that can surprise us. In this case, a log filled with Guests began to take on water and sink on Splash Mountain.
A video was uploaded to TikTok by Dakota Anglin (@danglin90) synced ironically to the theme song of Titanic.

While is a , the are not supposed to get this wet. Luckily, it appears that the log began to sink after taking its plunge down Chik-a-pin Hill’s 50-foot drop as the video shows the Guests jumping out in the middle of a log jam known to occur just before Guests are off-loaded. We can also see the log behind them is almost on top of the sinking ride vehicle, but it is unclear if this overlap is what caused the sinking to occur.
It is also unclear at this time how Disney World Cast Members were able to remove the sunken log and get the remaining Guests off of the ride.
