Going to a Disney Park is one of the most incredible experiences in the world. From taking in the incredible attractions and rides like Space Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad in Magic Kingdom Park in Walt Disney World Resort, Disneyland Park in Disneyland Resort, Parc Disneyland in Disneyland Paris, to the wonderful delicacies on offer to eat and drink there’s a lot to be celebrated about a Disney Theme Park visit.
Disneyland Paris
While the domestic Disney Parks are certainly some of the best places in the world to enjoy the Disney experience, they are by no means the only places one can do so. Another wonderful place to immerse yourself in the world of Disney is Disneyland Paris. Disneyland Paris is situated about 20 miles east of Paris, France; it was originally called Euro Disney Resort when it opened in 1992 but was later renamed Disneyland Paris in 1995.
The Disney Resort is home to Parc Disneyland and Walt Disney Studios Park, as well as a shopping, dining, and entertainment complex called Disney Village. Disneyland Park is home to five themed lands, each with its own attractions and entertainment: Main Street, U.S.A., Adventureland, Fantasyland, Frontierland, and Discoveryland. Walt Disney Studios Park focuses on the world of movies and television and includes areas such as Production Courtyard, Toon Studio, and Backlot.
Tower of Terror & Its Upcoming Closure
Of all of these lands and Parks on offer, there’s one ride that is a classic attraction which keeps many Disney fans returning to the Parks. The dark thrill ride is one that simulates a free-fall drop, and it is based on the popular Twilight Zone television series. The Tower of Terror at Disneyland Paris is known for its unique storyline, special effects, and breathtaking views of the Park. It’s also seen at Disney’s Hollywood Studios Theme Park in Walt Disney World, Walt Disney Studios Park in Disneyland Paris, and Tokyo DisneySea at Tokyo Disney Resort; the first one opened at Disney California Adventure Park in Disneyland Resort though that has now been rethemed to Guardians of the Galaxy—Mission: BREAKOUT!
Every Disney Fanatic knows the sad feeling of their favorite attraction or ride closing. Though unfortunate as it is, it’s necessary to allow Disney to maintain the standards of safety that all fans are used to and seek out when they visit a Disney Theme Park. In the latest of these closures, as reported by Inside the Magic, the Tower of Terror in Disneyland Paris will be closing come July 1, 2023, for refurbishment. At the moment, no reopening date has been officially announced for the classic ride.
