After months of being closed for refurbishment, Disney has announced the reopening of Trail’s End Restaurant at its Central Florida Disney Resort.
While closures are par for the course at any Disney Resort, they’re certainly not one of our favorite parts of the Disney experience. While any Disney fan is used to the Disney Parks’ routine closures, one of the happier instances is when they finally reopen for Guests.

Now, Disney Parks Blog shared an update that gives us even more insight into what we can expect from this classic dining option at Walt Disney World Resort.
Trail’s End Restaurant to Reopen on July 27
As Disney shared, come July 27, Trail’s End and Crockett’s Tavern will reopen to Guests in a new concept that “complement[s] the resort’s signature laid-back style.” They will both have a quaint charm about them, with warm wooden furnishings, beamed ceilings, and rustic accents.
Trail’s End will also feature an added on-stage pizza station where Guests can satisfy their appetites. In addition, the restaurant has added two new pizzas: a smokehouse-style pizza topped with house-smoked brisket, sausage, and pepperoni and a delicious roasted vegetable pie.
Per Disney Parks Blog, the marketplace will also feature a new house-made bakery with tasty treats and sweets offered to Guests. The pastry team is bringing back delicious offerings like Banana Pudding, Carrot Cake Cupcake, Blueberry Bread Pudding, and the legendary Strawberry Shortcake from Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue.
Guests were incredibly excited to hear about this change and expressed their joy:
As someone who often stays at Fort Wilderness, this looks amazing! Definitely an upgrade from the family style restaurant and a quick service option that Fort Wilderness really needed. The new indoor space looks really cool and the menu seems incredibly appetizing!
