The Walt Disney World Resort is one of the foremost Disney vacation destinations in the world. From the four Disney Parks—Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom—to the two water Parks and various Resort hotels on site. Guests from all over the world flock to the Disney Resort to have the opportunity to feel that quintessential Disney experience. However, a Disney Park sometimes has to close, whether for maintenance or otherwise, and one Walt Disney World Resort Theme Park that has been closed for a while is finally reopening! Very soon, Disney Guests will be able to enjoy Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park again.

Recently Disney Parks announced that After Hours would be expanding at Walt Disney World Resort, and particularly it would be expanding to both EPCOT and Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon. Fans were thrilled at the announcement because it meant that Guests would soon be able to frequent this aqua paradise once again.
Fans have been awaiting this water park’s reopening enough that there have been rumors swirling about its reopening date. However, Disney Parks Blog has officially confirmed that the Typhoon Lagoon Water Park will reopen on March 19, 2023, as confirmed by journalist Ashley Carter as well.

Guests can rejoice in the fact that not only will the Park reopen with some classic fan favorites like the Typhoon Lagoon Surf Pool—North America’s largest wave pool—Ketchakiddee Creek, and Miss Adventure Falls, but it is also adding tantalizing offerings to its dining, particularly dessert, options.  Like any Disney Theme Park, this Disney Water Park also has delicious dining options from Leaning Palms, the wonderful Dole Whip available at the Snack Shack, as well as more offerings at Happy Landings near Castaway Creek.
Of course, while Guests are waiting for Typhoon Lagoon to reopen, they can enjoy the Blizzard Beach water park as well.
