It’s always a sad day when a location at Walt Disney World Resort or Disneyland Resort close forever, and that’s precisely what happened recently. Whether going to a Disney Park at either Disney Resort—think like Magic Kingdom or Disney’s Animal Kingdom at Walt Disney World or Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park at Disneyland—or their wonderful shopping districts like Downtown Disney and Disney Springs, there’s always something for all fans to do at the Disney properties. However, the Disney experience will now no longer include the UGG Store at Walt Disney World as it closed permanently.
As initially reported six days ago, the store finally shut its doors for good on February 15, 2023. Per the old listing on the Walt Disney World website—the page is no longer live as the shop is now permanently shuttered—UGG, located in the Town Center at Disney Springs, was the store “known for its cozy sheepskin boots, slippers and shoes. It also [carried] apparel, accessories, and home decor.”
The store first opened in May 2016; now that the UGG store at Disney World has officially closed, there is not yet news of what will take its place.
This isn’t the first Walt Disney World location for this year. Earlier in 2023, we reported on the permanent closure of another beloved attraction in Walt Disney World, which also closed forever due to mold, and fans were distraught at hearing that news as well.
Of course, as all Disney fans know, closures are part of being a Disney Theme Park visitor and a Disney Parks enthusiast. Unfortunately, not every attraction, ride, shop, and destination can stay open forever, as much as Guests might want that to be the case. One of the more controversial closures fans are familiar with is Splash Mountain, which is undergoing its retheme.
Regardless, we’re certain all Disney Fanatics will keep their eyes peeled for the UGG store’s replacement!
