“Unhinged” Disney World Guests Threatens Employment of Dozens of Cast Members

A Walt Disney World Resort guest is under fire online after claiming they reported 27 Disney cast members to management. The guest detailed their grievances on a message board, sparking backlash from Disney Parks fans.

User u/fuckedbuttholes shared screenshots of the guest’s post on Reddit, describing the situation as “unhinged.” The anonymous guest admitted to compiling a list of dozens of Disney cast members they interacted with and presenting it to Guest Services.

The guest alleged that cast members repeatedly disrupted them during their visit with a service dog. They described an incident at Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party at Magic Kingdom Park where a cast member “screamed” to ask their dog’s name from across a walkway, startling them.

“I jumped out of my skin because I hadn’t seen her there,” they wrote. “…I go, ‘ARE YOU SERIOUS?’ because are you fucking serious?

In another instance at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park, the guest said a cast member asked their dog’s breed as they were reportedly experiencing a narcolepsy episode.

The guest claimed that 27 cast members, mostly Disney College Program employees, asked questions or talked about the service dog and apologized after being confronted. They recorded most employees’ names and work locations and demanded Guest Services follow up on their complaints.

The guest insisted they did not want anyone fired but said, “They damn sure need to be retrained.”

Disney Parks Fans Respond

Disney Parks fans reacted strongly to the story, with many defending cast members and questioning the guest’s motivations.

“It seems the examples given were not of cast members interfering with the dog but just talking to the owner,” Redditor u/opthomas_prime21 argued. “If it’s not clear why the service dog is there, the cast members might have been trying to figure out how to assist if needed.”

Others criticized the guest’s behavior, suggesting they were unnecessarily harsh on the cast members.

“‘I don’t wanna get anybody fired but I took down all their names and listed them off to anyone who would listen,'” u/FlatBrokeEconomist joked. “Sure, we believe you.”

“Imagine going to Disney World only to spend your day coming up with your hit list,” u/KarateKid1984 replied. “This person sounds exhausting.”

Some users pointed out that the cast member who engaged the guest during a narcolepsy episode might have been acting out of concern.

“I imagine the one cast member approached to make small talk BECAUSE they were fighting off an narcolepsy episode, and I bet that looks concerning!” u/soyboy412 wrote. “A deep breath and some space and time always helps in these situations. Cast members are just people like you and me.”

Not all responses were negative. Some Disney Parks fans supported the guest’s decision to speak up.

“Nobody needs to be asking name, breed, etc. because it’s a working dog and that doesn’t concern anyone,” u/riningear commented.

Another user added, “This person explicitly said they didn’t want anyone fired but retrained. I agree it’s a lot to post on some message board but there should be better training if CMs don’t know how to act around a service dog.”
