The Walt Disney Company has been announcing many changes to its services lately. On the Theme Park end, Disney just announced new perks for Annual Passholders at Walt Disney World Resort. On the streaming end, during the earnings call last week, Disney announced many changes to their streaming service, Disney Plus (Disney+). We have also seen updates on Tiana’s Bayou Adventure (the Splash Mountain retheme). Needless to say, a lot has changed in the world of Disney for many fans.

However, now there’s been yet another reported change to Disney+ and how it’s being offered to Disney fans.

Disney Plus Changes

Disney+ has certainly undergone its fair share of changes recently. As announced during the earnings call, the service has lost millions of subscribers, primarily in the Indian market; a majority of the subscriber loss was due to the pricing changes made to Disney+. Disney will also be working on cutting out content from the service and, furthermore will be “rationalizing” any new original content that will be released onto the app. The Mouse House is also working on combining Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+ into one Disney app where users can find all their favorite shows in one location.

Verizon Changes Its Disney Plus Offerings

Now, there’s another change coming to the streaming service. For any Verizon Wireless customer that has been enjoying a Disney subscription with their Verizon account, this is for you.

Until now, Disney+ has been available for free for Verizon customers, but from now on, that is reportedly no longer the case. Instead of offering the service for free, Verizon will offer discounted prices of the Disney bundle.

As reported to The Mobile Report,

Verizon customers can add the Disney Bundle for $10 per month… The one interesting note is that the image purportedly from Verizon indicates that the bundle add-on includes Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+ and is a $4.99 savings.

This change is expected to be announced today, and Verizon will likely make the change officially on May 18. They will be coming to the Verizon Unlimited plans—both Unlimited Welcome and Unlimited Plus variants. Other discounted add-ons available to Verizon customers will include Walmart+ — which comes with free access to Paramount+ and ad-free Pluto TV streaming — Apple One, Apple Music, and more.
