The Walt Disney World Resort gets its fair share of crazy weather throughout the year, and normally it and its Guests suffer the usual weather commonly known to hit Central Florida. Namely, scorching heat and hurricanes. But it appears that the list of weather also includes hail!
Yes, on the evening of July 14, 2022, a hail storm came to The Walt Disney World Resort, specifically the Magic Kingdom.
Theme Park reporter Scott Gustin (@ScottGustin) shared a video on Twitter of significantly large pieces of hail bearing down on the Transportation and Ticket Center as he took shelter in the covered Monorail station.

Reports on-scene say that the hail pieces were the size of a quarter, and it has brought all transportation to a halt.
It is not yet known when the hail started or when it is expected to end. In the unlikely event of a hail storm, we advise that all would-be Disney Park Guests take shelter immediately and stay in place until the weather has moved on.
According to WESH2, heavy storms with 45 mph winds are currently descending on the Theme Park capital and are expected to continue throughout the evening.

It should be noted that the Cast Members of the Walt Disney World Resort are trained and prepared to handle any type of weather situation and keep Guests safe. However, it is unclear how much exterior damage this hail will cause throughout the Park, especially on the outdoor attractions like Seven Dwarfs Mine Train and the decorative windows lining Main Street, U.S.A.
