‘Star Wars’ Villain Scares Guests in Disneyland

kylo ren

Kylo Ren, one of the most famous Star Wars villains aside from Darth Vader, had a bit of an embarrassing moment recently — and the villain seems determined to make up for that embarrassment by scaring Disney Guests even more than usual!

Kylo Ren is a villain from the more recent films in the Star Wars franchise, and is usually played by the actor Adam Driver (shown below). However, the intergalactic villain is also portrayed within Disney Parks and within areas like Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. Now that a Disney Park version of Kylo Ren has embarrassed itself (or himself) in front of many Disney Guests recently, one other version of the character frightened an adult Guest recently!

In the TikTok video shown below that was posted by @jays_the_bae, an adult male Disney Guest is clearly being intimidated by Kylo Ren. Kylo Ren questions the Guest’s loyalty, getting in the man’s face when he admits that he “one hundred percent” supports the Resistance, and then goes so far as to continue following the man and pursuing the stressful interaction!

In the background, one of the Stormtroopers who accompanies Kylo Ren can be heard requesting that someone “Calm down”. It is possible that the Stormtrooper is trying to tell Kylo Ren to leave the Guest alone, but it seems more likely that the Stormtrooper would be telling the frightened Guest to calm down as opposed to questioning his leader’s authority.

Kylo Ren lets the Guest go after what was only a short interaction, but most likely felt long to the Guest (who was so seemingly rattled that he did not notice Kylo Ren’s gestures, and had to be told loudly to “Move!” before he actually left with a nervous wave goodbye).

We can’t be certain, but it seems like Disneyland and Walt Disney World Resort Cast Members or performers might have a lot of fun playing faceless villains like Kylo Ren and the Stormtroopers. After all, they get to act intimidating (with a hint of comedy, at times) as part of their job! Would you like to portray Kylo Ren as a Disney employee, or perhaps as part of a Halloween costume?
