One of Disney’s biggest draws is its inclusivity. Whether with Disney Parks, Disney movies, or Disney merchandise, the Mouse House has made a notable effort to have a more diverse cast and diverse representation of people and identities in its properties. In the Disney Parks, we’ve seen this with their celebrations of different cultures and celebrations, and one of the most talked-about Disney celebrations is Pride.
Pride Month at Walt Disney World Resort
Pride Month at Walt Disney World is a celebration of diversity, inclusion, and LGBTQ+ rights that takes place throughout June. Fans can enjoy rainbow-colored decorations, banners, and merchandise throughout a Disney Park during the celebration. The iconic Cinderella Castle also often features rainbow lighting; Disney characters, such as Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, and Donald Duck, may also appear in special Pride-themed outfits.
However, the month also faces a fair amount of backlash from some who believe the celebration is an expression of “woke” ideals. Recently, the NAACP even issued a travel warning for Disney ahead of Pride Month.

The pictures look wonderful, and it’s looking to be a fun celebration for all Guests who intend to take part!
Some fans expressed disappointment that they missed the celebration. Andy Guinigundo said, “Bummer. We missed it by a day. Looks nice.”
