Walt Disney World Resort Hotels 101 - An Overview of Accommodations on Disney Property

Swan and Dolphin Resort

1. Other options

There are a few other hotel choices to consider while visiting Walt Disney World Resort. And while these accommodations are not officially Disney Resorts, per se, in a way they have become somewhat honorary Disney hotels and even offer some of the same great perks Walt Disney World Resort guests get to enjoy, like Extra Magic Hours and making FastPass+ selections.

The Walt Disney World Swan Hotel and the Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel are two such examples you’ll find within the Epcot Resort Area. With their pastel coral and aqua color patterns, lush palm trees, and overall tropical ambiance, both celebrate the relaxed Floridian setting on a whole, with the Swan Hotel standing out for its 47-foot architectural representation of a swan and the Dolphin, likewise, sporting a 56-foot dolphin. As designated Deluxe Hotels, these resorts offer guests a wide range of onsite recreational extras and activities, as well as a host of delectable restaurant options right onsite. Some of these include such refined favorites as Il Mulino New York Trattoria, Shula’s Steak House, Todd English’s bluezoo, and Garden Grove—which provides diners with a delightful character dining experience nightly and for weekend breakfast buffets. Both resorts, while their own separate entities, share in resort privileges with one another in the way of pools and other recreations, dining, and onsite amenities. They even share in the added Disney World Resort benefit of complimentary transportation to the parks and other surrounding Disney venues.

Within the bounds of the Disney Springs Resort Area you’ll find the Four Seasons Resort Orlando at Walt Disney World Resort. A favorite consideration for countless visitors over the years, this stellar luxury hotel boasts numerous onsite amenities, including a five-acre waterpark, five-star dining, world-class salon and spa services, and countless others. As for lodging, guests may choose from a variety of room distinctions, ranging from standard and deluxe rooms, superior rooms, family suites, and even deluxe family suites. Guests will also enjoy several dining opportunities while staying here. One renowned favorite is dining at Ravello, where you will enjoy a splendid display of modern Italian classics at dinnertime, but can also tuck into the delightful Good Morning Breakfast with Goofy and His Pals—a character dining breakfast buffet, available by reservation.

While Walt Disney World Resort offers a profusion of possibilities for where to stay and how to stay at them, keep in mind that each and every accommodation presents the same magical touches and guest benefits. Extra Magic Hours, FastPass+ options, and complimentary transportation are just the beginning. And while there are plenty of surrounding resort properties to opt for all throughout Orlando, nothing tops off a vacation to the “Most Magical Place on Earth” quite like a stay right onsite, in the heart of all the magic.
