The Walt Disney World Resort regularly partners with Give Kids the World, and now for the second year, the resort has joined forces with the property to help complete their second annual Night of a Million Lights display.
To create the display, decorators used millions of lights donated by Disney to create a total transformation of Give Kids the World Village just for the holidays. Visitors who stay at Give Kids the World Village will be able to see the dazzling lights and winter wonderland displays up through January 2, 2022, with nearly every area of the Village immersing visitors into a true holiday fairytale neighborhood.
Inside Give the Kids the World Village this holiday season, Guests can expect to find such unique elements as a 360-degree dancing lights show, a Christmas tree trail, and guided storytelling bringing them on a tour of 100 beautifully decorated villas. Disney’s renowned Holiday Services team of Cast Members designed the decorations in a way that plays homage to the classic Disney attraction that celebrates our global community, “it’s a small world.”
Give Kids the World Village was also among one of the grant recipients Disney worked to support earlier this year, and the Village is an integral part of making visits by Guests who are on Make A Wish trips to the Walt Disney World Resort both possible and as magical as can be. The Village, which is often assisted by Disney VoluntEARs and Cast Members, allows for an opportunity for these Guests to enjoy a magical vacation away from hospital settings where Guests can still receive needed care in a fantastical setting.
Disney is also currently working with Toys for Tots. The company recently made a $500,000 donation to the program and kicked off the Disney Ultimate Toy Drive across the country as well as at the Walt Disney World or Disneyland Resort. To learn more about the toy drive, visit disney.com/toydrive.
There are certainly plenty of magical moments to be had around the Walt Disney World Resort this holiday season, and with Give Kids the World and Toys for Tots, we are thrilled to see lots of magic happening in local Central Florida communities, too.
