In a historic reveal for theme park enthusiasts, Miral and Warner Bros. Discovery Global Experiences have officially unveiled a massive Wizarding World expansion featuring three distinct Harry Potter–themed lands. Spanning approximately 63,000 square meters (678,000 square feet), the project will bring Hogwarts, Diagon Alley, and the Forbidden Forest together under a single indoor roof for the very first time.
Three Iconic Wizarding Locations
Originally teased in 2022 as a single-land concept, the newly scaled-up plans create three fully realized environments:

- Diagon Alley: A vibrant, cobblestone street environment featuring enchanted shopfronts, dining, and magical retail destinations.
- Hogwarts Castle: The majestic Gothic castle housing iconic corridors and wizarding school classrooms.
- The Forbidden Forest: Making history as the world’s first standalone theme park land dedicated entirely to the mysterious, creature-filled dark forest.
While Universal theme parks currently split Hogwarts and Diagon Alley across separate parks in Orlando, this development unites both environments—along with the Forbidden Forest—into one seamless indoor experience.
What We Know About the Rides (And What Remains Unconfirmed)
Developers have officially confirmed that the expansion will feature world-exclusive Harry Potter rides designed solely for this project. Because these attractions are being built from the ground up, guests will experience storylines and ride mechanics completely distinct from Universal’s existing Wizarding World attractions.

However, theme park fans should keep in mind that no specific ride names, themes, or mechanical systems have been officially confirmed yet. While rumors and speculation are already building around potential dark rides or high-tech coasters through the Forbidden Forest, official ride reveals remain strictly under wraps until future announcements.
What Is Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi, and Where Is It Located?
This landmark expansion is being built inside Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi, the region's premier fully indoor theme park.

- What It Is: Opened in July 2018, Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi is a $1 billion, state-of-the-art entertainment destination. Housed entirely under a massive climate-controlled dome, it holds the Guinness World Record as the region's largest indoor theme park, allowing guests to explore year-round in air-conditioned comfort.
- Where It Is Located: The park sits on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi, the capital city of the United Arab Emirates. It is located just 10 minutes from Abu Dhabi International Airport and roughly 50 to 90 minutes from neighboring Dubai. The park sits alongside Yas Island's major entertainment cluster, which includes Ferrari World, Yas Waterworld, and SeaWorld Yas Island.
- Current Park Layout: Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi currently features six themed lands: Warner Bros. Plaza, Bedrock, Dynamite Gulch, Cartoon Junction, Gotham City, and Metropolis.
Adding the three Harry Potter lands—alongside two upcoming DC Comics attractions, Kryptonite Collider and Superman Up and Away—will increase the total size of Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi by more than 50%.

Timeline and Outlook
Construction is actively underway, with developers targeting completion in 2029. Once open, Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi will become the first theme park outside of Universal's resort network to host permanent, large-scale Harry Potter attractions—making it an absolute bucket-list destination for fans worldwide.
