Ah, spring break! When one thinks of a wild spring break one imagines bikini-clad women, alcohol, and warm beachy destinations like Miami or Cancun. In reality, a very wild place to go for spring break is Disney World! The crowds are intense, the weather is hot, is it a dream vacation or a total nightmare?
For the next nine days, you cannot enter the Magic Kingdom unless you have already have made specific theme park reservations for Magic Kingdom. This means the park will be at full capacity! There are even several but nonconsecutive days in the next two weeks where each park is sold out.
So what to do? The best answer is wait and do not even bother going to Disney World these next few days. If you can wait about two weeks, both prices and crowds will be significantly lower.
If you only have that time off, we get that, consider making your trip more centered around your resort hotel and FOOD. All Disney resorts have multiple pools, an arcade, daily activities, and dining options. Pool hop around your resort with a pina colava in hand. You can spend nearly an entire day at Disney Springs and Disney’s Boardwalk. An amazingly fun dinner idea is starting off at the Contemporary Resort for an appetizer then hopping on the monorail to Polynesian Village Resort for your main entree, followed by hopping on the monorail to the Grand Floridian for dessert!
Disney also offers two mini-golf courses and so many fun things to do at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Lodge like archery, horseback riding, and more. Not even to mention if you stay at a Disney resort, nightly roasted marshmallows and movies under the stars! There is a whole world outside of the theme parks waiting to be explored.
