
Friday morning saw a notable earthquake hit the West Coast of the United States, and Disneyland guests were among those who felt the impact.
California is known to be a state that is prone to earthquakes because of its precarious position and relationship to the San Andreas Fault System.
For the second time this week, Friday afternoon saw locals in California feeling the effects of an earthquake in the region.

According to the United States Geological Survey, an earthquake hit the Malibu region of California and impacted surrounding areas including the Disneyland Resort. In fact, rides were stopped for a few minutes when the 4.6 magnitude earthquake hit at 1:47 p.m.
Rides at Disneyland Resort have since resumed.
Shortly after this earthquake hit, another strong earthquake of higher magnitude, 5.7, hit Hawaii, followed by many aftershocks, according to the United States Geological Survey.
This is also not the first earthquake to affect Southern California this week. In fact, the earthquake on Friday comes just one day after a 3.8 magnitude earthquake hit Southern California late on Thursday afternoon.
The earthquake on Thursday hit just outside of Ontario, around six miles south of Rancho Cucamonga, near San Bernardino County, and the effects were felt all the way to Los Angeles and Huntington Beach.
The earthquake hit around 11:38 p.m. local time, and no damages or injuries were immediately reported, per USA Today.
Furthermore, these two earthquakes from this week are part of a larger series of 20 earthquakes that have recently been impacting the Southern California region.

As of the publishing of this article, no injuries or extreme damages have been reported at Disneyland due to the impact of the earthquake.
