Disney Springs is forever changing, welcoming new favorites to its long list of dining options. (We are looking at YOU, Chicken Guy!) With an ever-changing array of food to enjoy, we decided to dream of five chains we would love to see come to Disney Springs.
Disney Springs has welcomed many new faces over the years and like the rest of Walt Disney World Resort, is ever-evolving. Hey, that was Walt envisioned, that his Disney Parks would never be finished. Well, we never want a day to finish walking around Disney Springs trying so, so many good food options.
1. Frank Pepe Pizza
This Connecticut-based pizza chain just opened its first Florida location. Why not add Walt Disney World Resort next? With options like white clam pizza and meatball ricotta, it’s no wonder Frank Pepe’s has been continuously named one of the best pizzas in America by numerous outlets. Frank Pepe’s is gearing up for its 100-anniversary, so why not celebrate with Disney?
2. Nando’s
Nando’s is a British quick-service staple! While it was originally founded in South Africa, Nando’s became the it spot for quick dinners in the UK in the late 90s providing massive nostalgia for all the millennials out there. There are now over 400 UK locations. Who can blame them when Nando’s is famous for its flame-grilled chicken with peri-peri sauce? It’s so popular it is sold in grocery stores worldwide. Select locations even sell pineapple DOLE Whip for dessert! They are taking over the United States with nearly 50 restaurants. We think we just might have found their perfect next location.
3. Fire + Ice
Who doesn’t love hibachi? What about a buffet? If you combine the two, you get Fire + Ice! First, you collect your bowl and go to the ice area where you get to fill your bowl with meats, seafood, vegetables, pasta, you name it. After that, you have the option to pick a sauce. Then the fire happens. In a massive grill in the middle of the restaurant, chefs prepare your creation to your liking. Oh, and it’s all you can eat! Fire + Ice currently has three locations, one being directly across the street from Disneyland Resort in Anaheim on Disney Way.
4. Krispy Kreme
Two words: GLAZE WATERFALL! Oh, that’s right, donut chain giant Krispy Kreme opened a flagship location in 2020 in New York City that offers immersive experiences. Unfortunately, you cannot bathe in nor drink straight from said glaze waterfall, but you can still eat dozens of freshly made fluffy, sugary sweet donuts. We’re not drooling, you are!
5. Great American Cookies
One of the longest lines one has to wait in Disney World is the line for cookies at Gideon’s Bake Shop in Disney Springs. The demand for cookies is very, VERY high. Great American Cookies sell slices of cookie cake, “doozies” which are two cookies with icing in between them, brownies, personalized cookie cakes, and of course, freshly baked cookies. They are perfect for your next birthday or special event in Disney World.
There you have our five picks for chains we would love to see in Disney Springs!
