Disney World Hikes Food Prices, Charges Almost $10 for a Pretzel

Walt Disney World Resort announced significant hikes in food and beverage prices as of October 23, 2024. These adjustments impacted the cost of hundreds of items, affecting snacks and drinks and dining experiences throughout the Disney parks, Resort hotels, and Disney Springs.

This latest increase follows other cost escalations across the Central Florida Disney Resort, including theme park tickets and valet parking fees. Guests who frequent the parks will notice a marked difference in the cost of beloved treats and beverages, including everything from Coca-Cola beverages to churros.

Among the newly adjusted prices, the Mickey Mouse pretzel with hot cheese now costs $7.99, a slight increase from its previous price of $7.79. Churros have also seen a price bump, now costing Disney Park guests $6.99, compared to the earlier price of $6.79.

Standard Coca-Cola fountain beverages have also increased by 30 cents, now $4.79 for a regular size and $5.59 for a large. Notably, other drinks, such as bottled Dasani water, now cost $4, whereas they were previously $3.75.

Such increases may seem incremental, but they add up quickly for families looking to enjoy various treats during their trips. With many snacks and drinks now over the $5 mark, Disney Park guests might need to reconsider their options when indulging in what were once considered affordable items.

Increased Costs for Character Meals

In tandem with snack and beverage increases, character dining experiences have become more costly. At Cinderella's Royal Table, breakfast has increased from $69 to $74 for adults, while dinner now costs $88, up from $84. Similar trends can be observed across several other restaurants, including 1900 Park Fare and Akershus Royal Banquet Hall, which reported increases in both breakfast and dinner pricing.

Buffet dining venues have also seen price hikes. For instance, Cape May Cafe's breakfast now stands at $49, up from $47. These increases in dining prices reflect a shift in the dining landscape at Walt Disney World Resort and underscore the rising costs associated with a family trip to the Disney parks.

As prices increase, guests planning visits to Walt Disney World Resort may need to adjust their food budgets accordingly. The modest price hikes might seem manageable on an individual basis, but for families or larger groups, the cumulative effect could significantly impact overall spending.

The impact on meal costs could worsen if Walt Disney World Resort opts to raise the costs associated with its Disney Dining Plan. Guests are encouraged to closely monitor these shifts to ensure their vacation finances align with their expectations.

  1. I think it’s wrong, every time you turn around disney is raising prices on something. It use to be maybe once or twice a year now it seems like prices increase every other week or month. What’s wrong disney you need the public to pay for the new stuff the average person won’t ever see or afford anymire???

  2. I don’t understand why people claim Disney park churros are so good? They’ve obviously never had a Real churro along the Mexico boarder! Paying $7, $8, $9 dollars for a stinking churro, is ridiculous!
