A Kentucky woman was recently arrested for attempting to bring methamphetamine into Magic Kingdom Park at Walt Disney World Resort. The arrest followed a routine bag check, where Disney security discovered the illicit substance hidden inside a small tin.

According to a newly publicized Orange County Sheriff’s Office report, the woman, Brandi Asher, 37, arrived at Walt Disney World Resort’s Transportation & Ticket Center (TTC) on May 20, 2025. The TTC is where Magic Kingdom guests park, ride parking trams, undergo security screening, and board transportation to the theme parks. Asher was selected for a standard bag check, and during the search, Disney security cast member Frederick Ciadrdi noticed something unusual in her bag.
Ciadrdi found a small metal tin and, upon shaking it, was confused by its silence. When he opened the tin, he discovered several items inside, including what appeared to be white substances.
“Frederick thought that was strange and opened the tin can and discovered small white items inside of the can, including a long white cylinder, which looked like a pen, and two small plastic baggies with something white inside of them,” a law enforcement officer explained in the arrest report.
Asher was initially questioned by Ciadrdi, who asked her what the items were. She claimed that the tin contained medicine for her headaches: “She stated it was ‘goodies [sic], headache power.’”

“Brandi started shaking and telling Frederick that he could just throw the items away,” the arrest report continued. However, Ciadrdi insisted that he couldn’t simply throw away the evidence. Asher then attempted to take the items back from the Disney security cast member.
An Orange County Sheriff’s deputy was called to the scene and confirmed that the substances in the tin were, in fact, methamphetamine. The “long white cylinder” found in Asher’s possession was identified as a tube commonly used for snorting meth. The officer noted that Asher was candid about the events leading up to her bringing the drugs to Walt Disney World Resort.

Asher claimed that she and her husband were staying at the Westgate Resort when a stranger approached her, offering her the meth. She accepted the offer without informing her husband, intending to leave the drugs in her hotel room. However, she accidentally brought them to Magic Kingdom Park.
“Brandi was very honest about the situation in question,” the arrest report read. “She pulled out a small, clear baggie that had the same crystal-like substance that matched what was inside the tin. […] Inside Brandy’s front left pocket, there were two crystal rocks matching the other substances.”

In June 2025, Ashler pleaded not guilty to the third-degree felony charge of possession of methamphetamine.
Walt Disney World Resort has a clear policy prohibiting guests from bringing “marijuana (including marijuana enriched products) or any illegal substance” onto its properties.
