Lucasfilm hasn't waited for Ahsoka Season 2 to bring back one of Star Wars’ most popular heroes. Ashley Eckstein is returning to voice Ahsoka Tano in LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy: Pieces of the Past, an animated new chapter for the Star Wars franchise.

Premiering September 19, 2025, on Disney+, the four-part special from creators Dan Hernandez and Benji Samit reunites fans with a familiar voice. Eckstein, who originated the role in Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels, revealed her excitement during Star Wars Celebration 2025 in Tokyo.
“When I got the call that I was going to be returning as Ahsoka, I cried […] I’ve missed her so much. I’ve missed you all so much,” she told StarWars.com. “This has really been a dream come true. I am such a huge fan of LEGO. I have so many of these Ahsoka BrickHeadz, and I now get to voice her!”
Eckstein added, “Last time I was on this stage, I talked about how Ahsoka lives in all of us… There’s so much heart in BrickHeadz Ahsoka, and we’re all going to relate to her. You’re going to love it.”
The new LEGO adventure comes a year after Rebuild the Galaxy and offers a new take on the character—one tied to her Clone Wars roots. “Nothing changed vocally at all. I voiced Ahsoka in this as if I was doing an episode of Star Wars: The Clone Wars,” Eckstein told ComicsOnline. “The only thing that consciously changes depending on the project is her age.”

According to Eckstein, this particular Ahsoka comes straight from her more mature Clone Wars arc. “This is Season 7 Ahsoka. This is after she’s… walked away from the Jedi Order, and she’s seen a lot at this point,” she said.
While the LEGO series may embrace humor, Eckstein said her portrayal remains deeply grounded. “Ahsoka doesn’t think she’s in a comedic universe. Everything is very serious to her in this universe,” she told Nerd Reactor.
Eckstein’s cameo arrives just as Ahsoka Season 2 begins production, with Rosario Dawson returning in the title role alongside Natasha Liu Bordizzo, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Eman Esfandi, and Hayden Christensen. The series is expected to premiere on Disney+ in 2026.

Even as Star Wars pivots back to theatrical storytelling, projects like Pieces of the Past prove that Lucasfilm remains committed to expanding its mythology across every format—animated bricks and all.
