New ‘She-Hulk’ Actor Revealed, Will Debut Alongside Avengers and X-Men

Jennifer Walters is stepping back into the Marvel spotlight, but not the way fans might expect. She-Hulk: Attorney at Law (2022) starred Tatiana Maslany as the green-skinned superhero in 2022, but the Disney+ series failed to win audiences over and was not renewed for a second season. Maslany later suggested the show’s budget played a role in its cancellation, but let's not pretend that Season 1 went down well with many MCU fans.

While the franchise moves toward major theatrical projects such as Avengers: Doomsday (2026) — starring Robert Downey Jr. as Doctor Doom alongside Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Paul Rudd (Scott Lang/Ant-Man), Florence Pugh (Yelena Belova), and many others reprising their roles, there’s been no indication that She-Hulk will appear again on screen, whether big or small.

The character has largely disappeared from Marvel’s current lineup, and Maslany’s recent boycott of Disney+ as a result of the late-night TV show host Jimmy Kimmel being taken off air after his comments relating to the assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk, has likely only widened that gap.

But She-Hulk herself will return in a different form. A new trailer for the upcoming retro-style, beat 'em up video game “Marvel Cosmic Invasion” confirms that the character is part of the game’s large roster. We now also know that She-Hulk will be voiced by actor Elysia Rotaru. It’s a full recast for Jennifer Walters, marking her first major appearance since the Disney+ show’s cancellation. “Marvel Cosmic Invasion” brings together some of Marvel’s most recognizable heroes and villains for a galactic-scale conflict.

Among the confirmed cast are Brian Bloom as Steve Rogers/Captain America and Silver Surfer, Steve Blum as Venom and Beta Ray Bill, Trevor Devall as Rocket Raccoon, Cal Dodd as Logan/Wolverine, Josh Keaton as Peter Parker/Spider-Man, Matt Mercer as Nova and Annihilus, Aileen Mythen as Phyla-Vell, and Alison Sealy-Smith as Ororo Munroe/Storm.

The game launches later this year on all major consoles, with a demo already available on Steam. For players, it’s a chance to see She-Hulk reimagined outside the MCU — and perhaps a reminder that even canceled heroes can find new life elsewhere.

“A cosmic battle awaits! After Annihilus has launched an unprecedented attack across the galaxy, all life hangs in the balance,” the official description for the game reads.

“Nova, Spider-Man, Wolverine, Phyla-Vell, Captain America, and many more heroes, both earth-born and cosmic, will join forces in a star-spanning brawling adventure against the deadly Annihilation Wave. From New York City to the depths of the Negative Zone, the future of the universe will be fought across the stars in MARVEL Cosmic Invasion!”

Avengers: Doomsday is scheduled to be released in US theaters on December 18, 2026.
