Disney Begins Removing Pixar Elements Ahead of 2026 Overhaul

Disneyland Paris Resort is continuing the physical transformation of Walt Disney Studios Park by eliminating a Pixar merchandise location. The overnight removal of a retail kiosk from Animation Courtyard is the latest confirmed dismantling as the European Disney destination prepares to rebrand the entire theme park in just two months.

Overnight, a Pixar merchandise kiosk disappeared from Animation Courtyard at Walt Disney Studios Park without advance warning. X (formerly known as Twitter) account @DLPReport documented the removal on Sunday, January 25, posting a photograph of the vacant space.

“🔧 The Pixar merchandise kiosk has also been removed from Animation Courtyard,” the account reported.

Disneyland Paris Resort provided no explanation for the sudden disappearance. The kiosk removal occurred overnight, leaving guests who visited on Saturday unaware that the retail location would be gone by Sunday.

With Walt Disney Studios Park transforming into Disney Adventure World on March 29, 2026—just 63 days away—the Pixar kiosk is almost certainly not returning. Disneyland Paris Resort hasn't confirmed the removal's permanence, but the tight timeline makes reinstallation impractical.

Complete Park Reimagining in March

Walt Disney Studios Park will cease to exist on March 29, 2026, replaced by Disney Adventure World. The rebrand shifts the park's focus from filmmaking secrets to placing guests directly inside cinematic worlds.

Marvel Avengers Campus will survive the transformation, as will Worlds of Pixar—though modifications to both areas are possible. The headline addition is World of Frozen, recreating the Norwegian village and Elsa's Ice Palace from Frozen (2013). The 7.5-acre land features two attractions, a show, and a technologically advanced walk-around Olaf audio-animatronic.

March 29 also introduces Raiponce Tangled Spin, a Tangled (2010) attraction exclusive to Disneyland Paris Resort, plus a Disney Princess character dining venue and Disney Cascade of Lights. The nighttime spectacular promises to be Disney Parks' most technologically sophisticated show ever created, incorporating aquatic drones alongside traditional fireworks and aerial drones.

Construction Continues Beyond Opening

Disney Adventure World's development extends past the March 29 grand opening. Construction crews are building a Lion King (1994) land featuring a log flume ride with next-generation audio-animatronics. An Up (2009) flying carousel is also under development. Disneyland Paris Resort hasn't set opening dates for either addition.
