Six Disneyland Rides Officially Closed, Effective April 2026

April is shaping up to be a tough month for attraction availability at Disneyland Resort. Between Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park, six rides are closed or heading into refurbishment this month — several without an announced reopening date. Here's the full rundown before you pack your bags.

The interactive shooter at Pixar Pier goes offline April 6, giving Disney California Adventure Park guests just a few remaining days to get a ride in. Disneyland Resort announced the closure back in February, but has not confirmed when the attraction will return.

The ride received cosmetic upgrades and Disneyland70 anniversary digital graphics last summer, and since that celebration runs through August 9, 2026, any returning Disney Park guests can expect those enhancements to remain in place when the doors reopen.

Disneyland Resort will lose another Toy Story (1995) ride when Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters shuts down for refurbishment on April 13. No reopening date or plans for the attraction have been shared.

The attraction's Walt Disney World Resort counterpart, Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin, is set to reopen April 8 after nearly eight months of upgrades — complete with enhanced targets, redesigned blasters, and a new audio-animatronic robot character named Buddy. Whether Disneyland Resort's version will receive similar treatment has not been announced.

Most April visitors will still be able to catch this Disney California Adventure Park favorite — it doesn't close until April 27. The catch is that the Disneyland Resort website shows no operating hours for Silly Symphony Swings beyond that date, offering no hint of when it might reopen.

This Mickey's Toontown staple already went dark on March 30, so anyone arriving in April will find it behind walls from day one. Disneyland Resort has not announced a reopening date or shared any details about what the refurbishment entails.

Roger Rabbit's Car Toon Spin last received a notable update in December 2021, when Jessica Rabbit's costuming and storyline role were revised to give the character a more prominent, active presence in the attraction.

Disneyland Monorail

Also closed since March 30, the Monorail is undergoing structural and electrical infrastructure work on its support pillars. This kind of behind-the-scenes maintenance likely won't translate into any visible changes for guests once it reopens. The Tomorrowland station entrance to Disneyland Park remains inaccessible in the meantime, and no reopening date has been confirmed.

The longest-running closure on this list, Jungle Cruise, has been down since February 17. Disneyland Resort initially suggested the Adventureland attraction would be back within about a week, but those dates vanished from the park's website almost immediately.

Two months on, the site still directs guests to “check back” for updates, with no explanation from Disney about what the work involves or when it will be finished.
