If you love a Disney festival, then there is no better place to go than EPCOT at Walt Disney World Resort. During the year, EPCOT has four incredibly popular festivals — the International Food & Wine Festival, the International Flower & Garden Festival, the Festival of the Arts, and the International Festival of Holidays. Each festival has its own unique theme and a ton of delicious food. In reality, each festival at EPCOT could be considered a food festival because of all the fantastic food booths scattered around World Showcase Lagoon.
On July 27, EPCOT will kick off its months-long International Food & Wine Festival. The Food & Wine Festival will have nearly 30 food booths, offering everything from a French fly flight to a passion fruit cheesecake, shaved beef ramen, spicy IMPOSSIBLE sausage, shrimp cocktail, and more. In addition to the food booths, fun events like Remy’s Hide and Squeak, Emile’s Fromage Montage, and the Eat to the Beat Concert Series will return to this year’s festival.
One of the things that people were very excited to hear was that Dr. Bunsen Honeydew and Beaker from Muppets Labs would be coming to the festival as well. Disney shared that the two would be making interesting concoctions for Guests to try, including Peanut Butter & Jelly Sticky Wings and a Pickle Milkshake.
Sadly, it appears that the two will not appear in person as so many were hoping.
When Disney first shared the news — which came in the form of a video on Instagram — it read:
Dr. Bunsen Honeydew and his faithful assistant, Beaker, of Muppet Labs will welcome you to their taste-testing headquarters, where the inventive duo are busy creating scientific snacks and mind-blowing beverages. You’ll have a chance to sample some of their kooky concoctions like the Unnecessarily Spicy, Yet Extremely Tasty Scotch Bonnet Pepper-Curry Wings, or the Pickle Milkshake. Consider it a flavor experiment in the name of science!
Now, the video has been updated, and a press release has been sent out, clarifying that the two will only appear via video.

Disney has not said how often the video will be shown during the festival, but it will most likely be shown multiple times throughout the day.
If you are planning on visiting EPCOT during the International Food & Wine Festival, it is important to note that no additional ticket is required to experience the festival. Guests who have a valid theme park reservation can enter EPCOT and head to the World Showcase to peruse the booths and taste some incredible offerings.
