Bob Iger has sent his first tweet in over two years as CEO of The Walt Disney Company, and it was a Thanksgiving greeting to all Disney Cast Members and employees.
The Disney icon said,
“Giving thanks today to family, friends, and all of my new fellow employees and cast members @WaltDisneyCo. It was always a privilege work with all of you, and it certainly is a privilege to do it again! Happy Thanksgiving.”

Disney Fanatic shared that The Walt Disney Company reinstated Iger to the role of Chief Executive Officer on Sunday night, replacing Bob Chapek effective immediately. Over the next 48 hours, Iger addressed employees and Cast Members, confirming his sudden return, and began work restructuring the Media and Entertainment Distribution division, firing the Chapek-appointed chief, Kareem Daniel, in the process.
Iger will be addressing all of Disney’s Cast Members and Employees in a Town Hall on Monday, November 28.

Instigated by a rebellion from within the company, Chapek was ousted as CEO of the Mouse House after massive losses recorded by the direct-to-consumer segment offset record Theme Parks revenue and landed quarterly earnings below expectations and sent the stock price dropping to yet another 52-week low.
The Walt Disney Company stock is down over 35% on the year, and Guest experience satisfaction is also arguably at an all-time low.
From 2005 to 2022, Iger ran Disney, championing the Theme Parks, leading the creation of Disney+, and driving Disney’s company value to an all-time high. Only time will tell if he can restore the company that Walt built to its former glory.
