Break-In at Disney World: Guest’s Car Burglarized

Break-in at Disney World

It appears a burglary took place at The Walt Disney World Resort this week as two unfortunate Guests found their car had been broken into.

First reported by Inside the Magicthe Guest identified as Celtzin L., shared pictures of the scene on social media, saying:

We just got broken into at Disney springs if any one has info pls let me know. All of it was designer stuff. Please no hate comments my mom and I are already crushed enough.
This happened sometime between 4pm-6pm
Edit: the police and security are saying no cameras at all. We parked at the very first parking spot of Lime garage. Where all the cars enter and no one reported it.

The image clearly shows the driver’s side window of the Guests’ van was shattered, allowing the criminals to take all that was sitting inside.

Unlike the parking situation at Walt Disney World Theme Parks, Disney Springs parking is free and one of the perks of Disney’s shopping and dining center is that Disney Fanatics do not need to purchase a ticket or make a Park reservation in order to visit. It also has the closest proximity to “the outside world.”

Parking at Walt Disney World Resort, even at Disney Springs, is looked upon by many Guests as being safe and secure, especially when parking in a heavily populated and trafficked area as this Guest suggests they were. This is the first time in years this reporter has heard of a Disney World parking lot burglary.

There is no word at this time whether or not the burglars have been identified or arrested.

This incident is the latest in a series of less-than-magical and outright rule-breaking activities that have taken place at Walt Disney World Resort this year, one of which occurred at Disney Springs itself. Click the link below for our coverage of that story.

We at Disney Fanatic want to take this opportunity to remind all Guests to please respect each other’s property, secure all personal items wherever you go, and please be ready to step up and report any criminal to the nearest Cast Member, Disney World Security, or Police Officer.
