‘Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind’ Gets An Opening Date

Check out the teaser trailer for this Marvel Studios attraction above! The Disney Parks Blog has ALSO shared that this coaster attraction will come to the Disney Park EPCOT on May 27!

From the teaser trailer, we can learn at least some things about what to expect from this new Disney attraction. The Nova Corps, which “is Xandar’s peacekeeping team serving as protectors of their planet and the broader Andromeda Galaxy”, is definitely involved since they’re named in the video.

You can see Spaceship Earth in the video, and it’s clear that EPCOT is the chosen destination (presumably the “World of Xandar Pavilion” in the EPCOT World Showcase). The Disney Parks Blog also pointed out an interesting observation: after someone shouts in the video that “Everything is disappearing!”, people and objects are “zipping backward out of existence” and possibly “rewinding”.

Will the time-altering events from the Marvel Cinematic Universe films like the Avengers films and Spiderman: No Way Home come into play? Or perhaps more time continuum and multiverse shifts from the Marvel Studios series Loki and the upcoming Marvel Studios movie Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness?

We already know that the Galaxarium within the ride will be an incredibly immersive part of the experience, and that cast members like Glenn Close will be reprising their roles in the thrill ride.
