Located on the 15th floor of Disney’s Contemporary Resort, California Grill is one of the best Walt Disney World signature restaurant offering an enticing menu with expertly prepared dishes and views of the Magic Kingdom Park (and the fireworks!) As with any Disney signature restaurant, we consider a meal at California Grill to be a bit of a splurge with menu items including high quality sushi, filet mignon, and an array of specialty cocktails plus an extensive wine list.

Currently the restaurant is offering a pre-fixe menu during the 50th anniversary celebration of the Walt Disney World Resort, priced at $89 per adult and $39 per child. The pre-fixe menu includes a choice of appetizer, entree, and dessert per person, along with nonalcoholic beverages. Guests are always welcome to purchase alcoholic beverages for the additional cost, and, if you are comfortable spending more than the cost of the meal on that beverage, you may be interested in trying the special California Grill Signature Cocktail. The specialty beverage blends a traditional champagne cocktail with Rémy Martin Louis XIII and is priced at $137!

This exclusive high end cognac takes four generations of Cellar Masters to create. See more details of this unique specialty beverage in this video:

The process of crafting Rémy Martin Louis XIII started with harvesting grapes from the Grand Champagne Cru in the Cognac region of France to distill “on lees,” essentially adding a more concentrated taste and texture from using the solid pieces of grape left over from pressing. The cognac is then aged for two years in French Limousin oak casks that have been cut, until it reaches the exact specifications Cellar Masters require for it to reach its ideal taste.

One 750mL bottle of Rémy Martin Louis XIII retails for $3,900, so even with typically inflated Disney prices, the cost of this cocktail is actually on par with what a drink made with this level of cognac would cost. If you are primarily interested in trying Rémy Martin Louis XIII on its own, California Grill also offers 1/2 oz to 2 oz pours of the cognac priced at $90 per 1/2 oz, $175 per 1 oz, $250 per 1 1/2 oz, and $300 per 2 oz.

California Grill has earned a bit of a reputation as of late for its higher end offerings, even in terms of what Disney signature dining experiences usually cost. Most recently, the restaurant hosted a New Year’s Eve celebration for $700 per person.

Whether you are planning on trying the California Grill Signature Cocktail or a glass of Rémy Martin Louis XIII, or if you would prefer to opt for a soda, we are always happy to recommend California Grill for a memorable evening out at Disney’s Contemporary Resort. Every element of the meal from the bread service to dessert is always delicious and the service is top notch (plus who can complain about the views of the Magic Kingdom and Cinderella Castle?)
