Is This Disney Take Worth Being Canceled Over?

Fans recently discussed their most “cancellable” and the hottest Disney takes they could think of, sharing and debating them online.

Cancel culture has reared its (arguably ugly) head on more than one count when it comes to celebrities and online culture. The internet has not always been kind to some, choosing to “cancel” them over miscommunications and flippant (often innocent) comments. Even every day, normal folks have been “canceled.”

While the Walt Disney Company is one of the most popular and prolific organizations of all time, it doesn’t always get everything right. Disney has been known to be criticized for some of its decisions and takes, and Disney fans have—on more than one count—expressed their dissatisfaction with the Mouse House.

Recently, some Disney fans took to Reddit to discuss their “most cancellable” Disney takes about some of the hottest Disney topics, be those a recent Disney movie, a Disney theme park, or more.

Here are some highlights!

One wrote, “Mickey Mouse Clubhouse has better writing than Wish.”

Another jumped in switching tack, “Relying on Disney+ as a way for mainstream pop culture to rediscover old, forgotten or obscure media is pretty sad tbh. We should’ve been looking for it on our owns rather than the corporates telling us to look there.”

Another fan brought up the Disney movie Frozen“I’ve been saying this for a decade now, but Anna has and always will be the better princess over Elsa. She has a far more likable personality and is way more entertaining to watch. She’s the “adorkable” protagonist done right.”

Finally, one brought up one of the most controversial Disney movies of all time: “Song of the South isn’t the most racist film in existence.”
