In 1994, Scott Calvin put on Santa’s famous red coat and became Father Christmas in Disney’s holiday hit, The Santa Clauses. Eight years later, Scott was back and looking for his Mrs. Claus in The Santa Clause 2, and for years later, Scott saved Christmas in The Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause. Fans loved the films, and they became an integral part of Disney’s holiday lineup.

In 2022, Disney brought Scott and the rest of the Calvin family back in a brand-new series, The Santa Clauses. In the first season, Scott was thinking of retiring from the Santa business after 30 years. Christmas is more complicated than ever, and people are having a hard time believing that a man in a sleigh flies around the world giving them gifts.
One of the more memorable scenes from the first movie is when Santa delivers toys to a young girl named Sara and tells her that he doesn’t want to drink the milk she left out because he is lactose intolerant. The next year, she leaves out soy milk for Santa because she remembers his alleged lactose issues.
In a nod to the original films, Disney brought Sara back for The Santa Clauses, but she is now an adult who has forgotten that Santa is real. Santa comes down the chimney of her house, and she begins to throw things at him. Eventually, she remembers, and he gives her a Polly Pocket toy, much like the ones she loved when she was a child.
In the new series, adult Sara was played by Gone Girl star, actress Casey Wilson. And while fans were thrilled to see the character return, it appears that Wilson does NOT have happy memories of her time on the set.
In a recent interview with the podcast B**ch Sesh, Wilson said that working with Tim Allen was the, “truly single worst experience I’ve ever had with a costar ever.”
“So I’m throwing things at him. [He] goes over to the producer who is standing four feet from me and goes, and I hear him, he goes, ‘You gotta tell her to stop stepping on my lines. The producer turns to me with horror on his face and has to walk one foot to me and he goes, ‘Um, Tim would ask that you stop stepping on his lines.’”

Wilson also alleged that she was not the only person treated terribly by Allen on set, going so far as to call him a “b**ch”.
“It was so uncomfortable… It’s the end [of the scene], and Tim Allen goes, ‘Leaving!’ [He] takes his Santa cape, picks it up and drops it on the floor and walks out. And they hustle in his stand-in; lovely man, who was much nicer to act against. People are scurrying to pick up his velvet Santa coat. He’s a b**ch.”
Wilson also claimed that Allen would not make eye contact with her if they were not filming, and a crew member told her that she was actually seeing him “on a good day.”
The actress said that, originally, she didn’t say anything about her experience on the set of The Santa Clauses because she is really good friends with one of the show’s producers. She also didn’t want to say anything negative because of how much people love both the original trilogy and the new series.
Allen has not responded to Wilson’s claims.
Seasons one and two of The Santa Clauses are currently available to stream on Disney+. It stars Allen as Scott Calvin/Santa Claus, Elizabeth Mitchell as Carol Calvin/Mrs. Claus, Austin Kane as Buddy “Cal” Calvin, and Elizabeth Allen Dick as Sandra Calvin.
