Roseanne Barr, on the other hand, is a bit more of a political enigma. She has been vocal about her support of Donald Trump, but, she has tried to run for President as a member of the Green Party. She also spoke out in support of those who were protesting during the Occupy Wall Street movement — a liberal movement targeting corporate greed.

Allen and Barr are known for their unique brands of comedy and, recently, a story started making the rounds saying that Allen and Barr were teaming up for a new comedy that would air on FOX.

Barr Was Fired By ABC

Throughout her career, Barr has made a number of controversial and problematic statements. Despite that, in 2018, Disney announced that it was reviving the hit comedy show, Roseanne. The series originally ran from 1988 through 1997. Disney revived the show with most of the original actors, and fans were thrilled to see the return of the Conners.

However, in 2018, Barr went on a tirade against Valerie Jarrett — a Senior Advisor to former President Barack Obama. In a now-deleted tweet, Barr said that Jarrett was the child of “Muslim Brotherhood & Planet of the Apes.” Barr apologized for her statement, but ABC quickly canceled her show, even though it was a huge hit. The Roseanne revival had been renewed for a second season and was the number one primetime scripted show among 18 to 49-year-olds.

However, Disney did create a new show called The Conners, which ran for six seasons.

Barr’s racist tweets were not the only big issues surrounding her in recent years. She was known for supporting ideas presented by the right-wing radical group, QAnon. Barr — who is Jewish herself — even said that no Jews died in the Holocaust. She then said that 6 million Jews should be killed, “’cause they cause all the problems in the world.”

Allen Has His Own Problems

Tim Allen, while loved by Disney fans, is not problem-free. Years ago, the actor served more than two years in jail when he was caught trafficking more than 1 pound of cocaine. Then in the late 90s, he was arrested for a DUI and was sentenced to probation. He was also required to enter an alcohol treatment program.

Allen currently stars in The Santa Clauses, an original series on Disney+. The show is currently in its second season. Both seasons of The Santa Clauses, as well as the three films in the original Santa Clause series, are available to stream on Disney+
