There has been a lot of debate lately about adults visiting Disney Parks without children. Some parents choose to go to a destination without their kids or simply don’t have children of their own. This has caused some critics to attack them, claiming they are ruining the experience. However, Walt Disney said this magical place is for everyone, and some childless Disney adults are clapping back at the critics. What do they have to say? Keep reading to find out.
To All Who Come to this Happy Place
All Disney Parks can arguably be just as fun for adults as they are for children. Sure, there are aspects to each Disney theme park that cater more to children, but adults were kids once as well. Many grew up with popular franchises such as Star Wars that they still love today. Walt Disney World provides an escape from the stress of everyday life. These full-grown Guests wonder why social media thinks it can gatekeep what people enjoy, especially if that source is labeled the happiest place on Earth.
Childless couples are known to visit the many Disney restaurants to relax and unwind with a drink. Thril rides are also more likely to be intense and scary for younger children. Disney is obviously okay catering to this demographic as well. The magic of Disney World is that there is something for everyone.

Blaming childless adults for the rising cost of ticket prices is also something that can go both ways. The ticket prices increase based on many factors, and these Disney adults could make the claim that bringing children also raises the costs and attraction wait times.
Reality Check – Disney Parks Can Be Exhausting
Disney Parks, especially during locations like Florida in the summer, can be an exhausting experience for anyone. Young children may not be able to handle the heat and chaos of a busy theme park as well as an adult.
Some full-grown Disney fans have had it with the gatekeeping and are clapping back at their critics. “Clearly, you’ve never been to Disney World. Taking a kid would ruin the whole day,” one Twitter user says.

Exhausted children can sometimes throw tantrums, and some may hold little memory of the experience if they are too young. Counter-arguments state that young children can ruin the experience for other Guests just as much as adults. A number of popular attractions ask the riders to perform certain tasks, such as Smuggler’s Run in Galaxy’s Edge. One adult Twitter user brought receipts to the debate:
I’m saying. a dad brought his son with him on the Smuggler’s Run ride and he was a pilot. The kid just sat there and did nothing. That ride requires you to have motor skills otherwise it’s not fun. It’s essentially a game. So it makes it not fun for the other adults. So frustrating

There are two sides to every story, and each side has as many valid reasons to enjoy Disney Parks as much as the other one. Maybe they should learn to share the fun together.
